Today we spent most of the day in San Martino di Castrozza. A small mountain town that we arrived at via bus.
There is a cable car here and our plan was to ascend to reach Rifugio Rosetta for our existing reservation; hoping that the weather forecast was wrong for September 8.
September 8 was supposed to see lots of snow, up to 50cm at elevation.
We were now well rested, all clothes dry and excited to get back to being on the trail.
After ascending the Cable car, it was a short easy hike to Rifugio Rosetta.
The mood in the hut was interesting; lots of wet people, none of the people we originally started the trip with were there. Excellent food, no internet for hikers.
We did manage a small dorm room, 4 beds, to ourselves. Always nice to not share.
