Had never been to Hong Kong, flights were cheap (hotels and food were not) and I ventured to Hong Kong and the HK Football Club for my first tournament in Asia!

Direct from Toronto over the top of the world

Stayed in Causeway bay a few minutes walk from the club.

Hong Kong has no straight lines and it was actually kind of fun navigating! Mildly chaotic.

Approaching Hong Kong

Being an exceptionally fussy eater, food was a touch difficult to find. I was rescued by finding a wonderful Japanese bakery and lots of bubble tea.

I Stayed in the Mini Hotel in Causeway Bay. A very tiny but functional room.

It was the rainy season and as such the humidity was insane. My small hotel room had a large air conditioner and in addition a dehumidifier that I had to empty at least twice a day.

Small but practical.

The HK Football Club is probably by value of real estate, the most expensive club on the planet.

Hong Kong itself was very enjoyable, had a certain energy and definitely a place I would return to!

It is a long flight. 15:45 direct from Toronto on the way there. On the way back, two consecutive overnight flights which actually worked out okay in the end.
