In October 2020 we were scheduled to spend 12 days in Jamaica. 9 days at Hedonism II and 3 days somewhere else.
The pandemic postponed that idea and it took two years to finally enjoy the trip we paid for in 2020.
We ended up having 9 days at Hedo and the final three days at Couples Swept Away, both in Negril.
I have been visiting Hedonism II since about 1985, when it was Negril Beach Village. A sports oriented resort with a nude beach. It has changed since then, known mostly for being a Lifestyle resort.
Honestly, it is a place for everyone with the possibility of one having the craziest or quietest vacation. Its up to you to figure out the temperature of trip you want. Either way, it is all there. Good food, excellent service and the ability to meet all and sundry.
I had not visited SweptAway in quite some time. This Couples resort is 2.5km along the beach to the west of Hedonism and retains its original flavor of an active, sporty resort. No nude beach or crazy swingers.
It is also boring as fuck on the social side.
Service was better at Hedonism, the food was comparable. SweptAway is beautiful and I love that guests play tennis, volleyball and do activities; but Hedo is my place for a proper vacation.
