Upon returning from our trip to Tofino and staying in the Wild Pods we looked at a piece of property, with the idea of building a geodesic dome. It didn’t work out, we looked at another the next day and made an offer later the same day.
The offer was accepted and we are now the proud new owners of 3.5 acres of waterfront property on Dog Lake in South Frontenac County.
While the original idea was to put a dome on it, the more we thought about it, the more sense it made to go all out!
Setbacks and rules change, borrowing costs were cheap and we stumbled upon Avrame, a kit house company specializing in A-Frames based in Estonia. The beginning of The Nest on Chickadee Lane.
